Radio has fascinated me since I was a little boy. I used to love listening to shortwave to stations from a far-off countries, with foreign music, in foreign languages. Later, I worked briefly in broadcasting.
When the opportunity arose to apply for a licence from the Media Authority to broadcast on medium wave, I immediately did so. It's just jolly nice to hear a voice and music coming from a machine, knowing that someone on the other side is busy spinning records.
Radio Twente Gold tries to recreate the atmosphere of yesteryear. A bit of nostalgia can't hurt. No hyper-active blabbermouths with nonsense stories, but slow radio, with music from the past, music that I personally enjoy hearing.
